Konstantin + Anna | Philadelphia Wedding Portraits

Konstantin and Anna contacted us do to a post wedding shoot after their small intimate wedding in NYC. Since the B+G portraits are always the most fun, we of course were thrilled to do a post session with them! After keeping an eye on the weather all week, it finally turned out to be the perfect day for shooting with some sunshine popping in and out. Luckily, Konstantin is a photo enthusiast himself and so they had chosen a beautiful location, Natirar Estate Park set atop rolling hills in Peapack NJ. Konstantin and Anna were a wonderful couple to shoot and absolutely adorable together. We are excited to share some sneak peek images from their session!

Kristy + Bret | Pennsylvania Wedding

Kristy and Bret are the type of people that when you meet them, they immediately feel like old friends with their warm and welcoming personalities. From the first meeting, they have been so extremely easy going and wonderful to work with. We started by shooting some casual and fun engagement photos for them back in January when the weather was unseasonably warm! Then in February we had the honor of shooting Kristy’s Bridal shower at Bret’s restaurant in North East Philadelphia called Benny The Bums. Which by the way, has some great food and a fun, laid-back atmosphere!

Needless to say by the time the wedding came around, we had developed a wonderful relationship with Kristy and Bret and we were just excited to share in the special day with them. It started with some getting ready photos in their home, where Kristy looked STUNNING, and then on to the beautiful Philmont Country Club where they had an outside ceremony and fun night of dancing and celebrating!

Cliff Mautner’s Lighting “Bootcamp”

by Nicole

Aside from our packed schedule of weddings, boudoir shoots, family portraits, and baby sessions this April, I had the additional pleasure of learning from one of the most talented photographers in the wedding industry, Cliff Mautner. Cliff is known as being among the top 10 Wedding Photographers in the world, an international spokesperson for Nikon, and a heavily awarded WPPI photographer in photojournalism. He’s the “it” guy in the wedding biz. And as luck would have it, Noelle has a close relationship with this grand [photo] master after having had the opportunity to work under him for some time. After meeting Cliff a handful of times, listening to his seminars at WPPI and the PDN PhotoPlus Expo, I was quickly able to learn that when it came to harnessing natural light – especially HARSH natural light – he’s the guy to go to. So without hesitation, I signed up for his Lighting and Skillset Bootcamp ready to soak in every bit of information I possibly could.

Cliff warmly welcomed us into his studio and treated his business, skills, and life in general as an open book for us fellow photographers to carefully page though. After mornings of yummy breakfasts, “lectures” and demonstrations, we were taken to Washington Square Park in Old City, Philadelphia (my old stomping ground) for some on-location shooting. Learning to distinguish between quantity and quality of light was key, and once you understand that, it gives you an entirely new perspective on shooting and “seeing” the light. To say I learned a ton would be an understatement. I could go on and on, but instead, here are some of the images from the week…
