Living in Louisiana, Daniel and Maggie had been planning a trip to New York City to celebrate the holiday season and see all the city had to offer. A few months before their trip, Daniel contacted us with his a special plan to propose to his special girl, Maggie, right in the center of The Big Apple. His Rockefeller Center proposal lived up to all the hype as the crowd exploded with applause and cheer after he proclaimed his love and asked for Maggie’s hand in marriage – all while their song was playing on the loud speakers. Of course, the stunned Maggie said “YES”… and Daniel came equipped with a sign to prove it! These two hit all the sights of Manhattan – as did their sign – and even made it on Good Morning America! We couldn’t be happier for these two, and wish them all the best! Congratulations!!
Some days we just get lucky. And the day we met Jennifer, we knew we were in for a treat for when it came time to photograph her and her hubby-to-be, Anthony, on their wedding day. The chemistry between them is undeniable. They are cute, quirky, and ready for anything – just the type of couple we love working with! Their Old Mill Pennsylvania wedding took place in Rose Valley, PA, a location surrounded by lush trees and tons of cool things for us to play with from old stone houses, to various tree stumps, to a little wall of bamboo, we had a blast creating their wedding images. And of course, we couldn’t do it alone. Jennifer + Anthony rocked it all day long and their bridal party was right there with them ready to dive in. What more could we ask for? The entire day was filled with tender moments, and tons of love and celebration and we were honored to be a part of it all. Here are some of our favorites from their day! Congratulations Jennifer + Anthony!!!!
Fall is officially here, and celebrating this beautiful season in NYC is simply amazing. In honor of their fall 2014 wedding, Leigh + Luke wanted to mimic the season in their Central Park engagement session. While it was chilly the days before and after their scheduled shoot, we lucked out with a gorgeously mild morning to capture this future bride and groom and LOVED the warm light peaking through the changing leaves in the park. We also checked out the Rambles, a little hidden gem in the park and stumbled upon some awesome “props” like this wooden bench. Pretty cool, and totally the vide these two love birds were going for! Here are some of our favs from their morning.
You may remember Karen and Dan from their Philly Engagement session last fall. Well we had the privilege of shooting these two love birds again for their October wedding at Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, PA. There are few places that rival the elegance and beauty of Cairnwood Estate. It’s the kind of place that demands attention and the second you begin to drive up the long driveway and the Estate peeks into view, it takes your breath away!!
We started off the day shooting Karen getting ready in her parents home in Jamison, PA. Then we headed over to their church for the ceremony – and luckily the weather was holding out the entire time even though it was pretty overcast all day! Then the party continued on at Cairwood. The unique layout of the Estate offers a very different structure to the reception that we love! The guests are seated in each of the separate State rooms, with a different buffet option available in every room. Karen and Dan were introduced as Mr. + Mrs. as they ascended the grand staircase – also where the toasts took place and the guests are able to gather around for an intimate first dance. Then the dance floor was set up in the Estate library – some might say the bouquet toss was “rigged” with Maid of Honor (and Karen’s little sister, Kimmy) catching the bouquet. We’ll let the photographs tell the story and you can be the judge, ha. Although we can’t say we wouldn’t be thrilled if little sis was up next!
