For those of you that have been following along on instagram, you know that the Femina Ladies were recently in Europe traveling for Alex + Anthony’s Destination Wedding in Paris! We first met with Alex last year when we were traveling to Paris for an array of scheduled styled shoots and weddings in the south of France. She shared with us that she and her fiancé Anthony were in the midst of planning their own destination wedding in Paris, and flew to meet us while we were there. We had lunch, and of course arranged to photograph their Engagement Session! We felt an instant connection with these two fabulous people, and were beyond thrilled when they invited us along to document their destination wedding the following year.
Flash forward to the most picturesque, beautifully sunny fall day in Paris just a few weeks ago. We began their wedding day at The Four Seasons George V, where Alex got ready with her mom and closest friends. We were thrilled to be working along side the oh-so-talented Onorina again for hair & makeup, and she worked her magic to create just the perfect vintage glam look Alex was going for! Working within the world of all things pretty, as a design manager for a home decor & furnishings, Alex had a clear vision for her romantic wedding in Paris. Adorned in beautiful heirloom pieces – her grandmother’s vintage earrings, her mother’s own wedding veil, beautiful pearl and diamond bracelets lining her arms, and THE MOST amazing vintage beaded shawl – Alex was ready to marry the love of her life! We especially loved the romantic pops of deep red – from her florals to her shoes, to the very reception venue that was the inspiration of it all, Laperouse.
Alex and Anthony wed in the American Church of Paris, alongside 30+ of their closest friends and family. Shortly after, we traveled throughout the City of Lights to create images at the Eiffel Tower and Palais Royale. Being a beautiful Saturday in Paris, both locations were overflowing with tourists, but with a little patience we were able to create some of our favorites below for Alex + Anthony. And as being fellow New Yorkers, this duo were no strangers to crowds, and welcomed all the cheers and congratulations throughout the city! Dinner and celebrations took place at one of Paris’ most historic restaurants, Laperouse, and antique and luxe romantic atmosphere was the perfect location for such an intimate gathering.
To say spending time and documenting this amazing couple’s wedding weekend was an honor would be an understatement. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weather, in the world’s most romantic city, with a more down-to-earth, sweeter-than-pie couple. So on this chilly Friday we’re so happy to be able to share some of our favorites from their special day!
