Meet Alexis and John, two of the most fun, caring, and down-to-earth people ever! Turns out, John is one of our college friends and a fellow University of Delaware classmate in the art program that we graduated from, and Alexis happened to grow up in the same town as Nicole. So you can say that we had a special relationship with these two. So we were thrilled when they asked us to shoot their wedding, which took place at the gorgeous Bonnet Island Estate in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

As a designer/surfer, John designed not only their wedding invitations, but their actual surfboard sign-in “book”. Combine this with Alexis’ knack for planning and impeccable attention to detail – not to mention the super HOT blue shoes to go with her reception dress – their wedding day was perfect in every sense of the word. Since their wedding took place at the beach, it was important for the weather to behave. Luckily, the weather held out and the day was absolutely stunning – filled with so much love and happiness. It honestly felt like a giant love bubble… everyone was swimming and dancing in it!

To make the most of their time together, these two love birds opted for a “first look”, allowing them to have an intimate chance to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. The Bonnet Island Estate’s adorable chapel lended itself very nicely and allowed us to play out our vision with their bridal party watching on overhead. Our eyes welling with tears, it was truly a special experience for us and we hope it was for the lovely newlyweds. Congratulations again John and Alexis!
