They say good luck comes to those who get married on a rainy day. And for Amanda + Sean, they’re owed a lifetime of luck! Although the forecast only called for 20% chance of rain, Mother Nature had other plans, and she dumped a whole-lotta-luck on these special love birds! While some brides would have been down about the unfavorable conditions, Amanda took everything in stride as we tweaked the timeline throughout the day. Our goal was to wait out the rain and snag some beautiful images of our bride + groom in more favorable, dry conditions. However we’d have to admit that some of our favorite images came from the little drops of “luck” falling around Amanda + Sean. It just added to the romance of the day!
It’s been almost exactly a year since we first met today’s lovely couple, Amanda + Sean. Upon meeting this sweet, sweet, couple and hearing about their upcoming wedding plans at Montauk Lake Club & Marina, we knew it would be an event that we’d be looking forward to for a while. Located on the most eastern tip of Long Island, Montauk Lake Club is an elegant, yet quaint, location for such a special day. The venue sits on the water’s edge of Montauk Lake with a private marina, which is a perfect backdrop for a wedding. Following a truly touching church ceremony in the center of town, and in addition to photographing at the venue itself, the silver lining came when we were able to alter our photo plans and photograph at the historic Montauk Manor. Big thanks go out to the ladies of Amanda Barbara Events, our bride’s phenomenal wedding planners for the suggestion and overall support throughout the day! We’re always thrilled to be able to collaborate with such top-knotch vendors on our couples’ big days!
And for those who didn’t know, while Femina is primarily located in Philadelphia + New York City, we’re happy to also be considered a regular North Fork, Hamptons + Montauk Wedding Photographer! We just love eastern Long Island Weddings, and the way they’re able to offer calm and quiet scenery in an otherwise over-populated island.
