This post has been a long time coming! Brittany and Lou’s Liberty House wedding is one of our all-time favorites. Our journey with Brittany and Lou started back in 2015 (two years before their summer 2017 wedding) and we knew instantly that Brittany was like a soul sister to us Femina ladies. Their love story mirrored that of Nicole and her husband (meeting when they were young teenagers) and only grew from there, from graduating High School, to college and then on to their professional careers in the Big City. We absolutely adored everything about them and their love story. We had the privilege of working with them throughout their entire wedding journey, from photographing their Engagement Session in Manhattan, designing their custom Invitation Suites, capturing their Wedding Day, creating a beautiful album for them and finally a post wedding Boudoir Session with Brittany. To say we adore this bride is an understatement. We loved every minute of working with her and her groom and only hope to continue to capture all of those special moments in their lives.
Now on to tell you a little more about their special day. Brittany started getting ready at her parents house in Staten Island, where every detail was planned to perfection (did we tell you that Brittany also runs an event company called Fashionably Planned?!). Brittany’s Lazaro gown from Kleinfeld’s in NYC was perfectly on display, along with her gorgeous jewelry and Badgley Mischka jeweled pumps. Their ceremony was held at their family church, Our Lady Start of the Sea and then they wanted to go back to where it all started and take some photographs at their High School (how cute is this?). After a quick portrait session there, we headed to their venue the Liberty House, which offers so many wonderful photo opportunities set along the Hudson River. One of our favorite aspects of Liberty House Restaurant is the panorama view from the second floor ballroom, overlooking the river and Manhattan skyline. Many of our Liberty House couples love to take advantage of some nighttime portraits along the marina and on the front lawn of the venue grounds. Brittany and Lou wanted to soak in every bit of the gorgeousness Liberty House and it’s prime location had to offer. So of course we stole them away during their reception for some dramatic night portraits. See below for some of our favorite images from their day!
