It’s always an honor to be able to document a couple’s wedding day. We realize how much consideration and trust is left in our hands each time we book a wedding. However, this couple really made us feel special and privileged to shoot on their wedding day – because our bride Carrin and her mom, Chris, are both wedding photographers. So needless to say, we were beyond flattered when we first started speaking with Carrin + Andrew, and Chris. Carrin and Chris put every little thought into how certain elements of their wedding would translate into photographs – from the beautiful blush color of Carrin’s dress, to the venue and beachfront property in while getting ready in the morning, to the twinkling reception lights that were strung on the ceiling. Every decision was worth it ladies!! Though we’re sure Andrew had some input as well (haha).
Carrin + Andrew’s Rehoboth Beach Country Club wedding was beautiful from start to finish – and had it’s shares of special, yet hilarious moments. Despite a brief rain shower towards the end of the ceremony and the instance where a strong gust of wind managed to carry Carrin’s gorgeous lace veil out into the bay (which was then rescued by a very kind gentleman who happened to be driving by on his boat), this couple took everything in stride and with a huge smile on their faces. It’s only fitting such things would happen to a wedding photographer, because they are truly able to go with the flow when it comes to the unforeseen and comically unexpected.
Oh, and we forgot one small detail: both Carrin + Andrew are UD (University of Delaware) grads. So not only were we working with fellow photographers, but fellow Blue Hens as well! We just couldn’t get enough of these guys and had such a blast working with their family and friends. We truly thank them for not only allowing us to capture their day, but trusting us completely to do so. Big congratulations to our fabulous bride + groom!!
