Christina and Randall’s wedding at the New York Botanical Gardens was a special one for us because it was the first “full wedding” we had since COVID had started. Everyone was cautiously optimistic of course, considering the new guidelines. There was a lot of careful maneuvering of evolving restrictions and newly vaccinated guests and vendors, but despite these challenges, Christina and Randall took everything in stride. Their day went off without a hitch and “dare we say” flawless! Christina got ready with her mom and bridesmaids in the bridal suite in the Garden Terrace, while the guys got ready close by and then made their way over to the grill for the first look.

Since it was still early spring we weren’t sure what to expect with the floral blooms, but we were more than pleasantly surprised to see that their florist, By Yena Designs had created the most spectacular cherry blossom Chuppah for their ceremony. The weather proved to be absolutely perfect for their outdoor garden ceremony and portrait session. We were able to take advantage of all the picturesque spots in the gardens for their couple’s portrait session as well as their wedding party and family formals. Christina and Randall had a small traditional tea ceremony and ketubah signing before transitioning to the Jewish tisch and bedeken traditions. We absolutely love this blending of cultures and traditions! We were also thrilled to be able to capture their day cinematically with a highlight reel. Be sure to check it out below!
