Any photographer knows that a winter portrait session in the North East can be a bit tricky because you never really know what to expect with the weather. However, when Anthony and Deena wanted to do their Philadelphia Engagement session in early March, it seemed like the perfect time because it is usually just starting to warm up and yet there aren’t enough people out and about to get in the way of your shots. Since they were in town for the weekend, we decided to do their session early in the morning which was even better – you get great light, no people and it gets you up and moving for a productive day! However, we didn’t really account for the fact that it could potentially be 30 degrees and really windy, ha! Nonetheless, they were total troupers and we got some awesome photographs with beautiful light. We started out with some warm snuggly shots at Race Street Pier and then some fun shots under the bridge before heading over to the Second Bank of the U.S. in Old City (near their old stomping grounds). We love all the giggles and carefree laughs in these photos – it’s pretty obvious to see how great the chemistry is between them and it makes our job that much easier! We really can’t wait for their upcoming wedding in September of this year.
