Jackie and Matt are somewhat of a fixture in our Femina family and we were thrilled to be the ones chosen as their Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding photographers. You see, Jackie has been in two prior Femina weddings when her best friends Ashley and Jenn got married and she’ll be in another one come this July for her bestie Christine. We are truly so blessed to have such a wonderful network of clients and love seeing them support each other throughout their wedding journeys. Each one is as unique as them and Jackie and Matt’s wedding was no exception. Jackie exudes beauty and light and Matt is so calm, cool and collected – the perfect compliment to one another and their day was a reflection of their personalities. Seriously, Jackie smiled SO big the entire day and we can see why Matt fell head over heels for her. It was hard not to laugh along with her infectious giggles throughout the day!
We really could not have asked for a better day for these two to exchange vows on the bay of Manahawkin New Jersey. May can be a tricky month for weddings because the weather is a bit unpredictable, but there wasn’t a cloud in sight for most of the day and it was unseasonably warm. The Weddings of Distinction properties are among some of our favorites and Mallard Yacht Club is certainly up there on our list. The sprawling estate has a gorgeous open-air stone chapel, where Matt and Jackie exchanged vows, with just the right amount of sea breeze coming off the water. Since we had discussed an appropriate timeline way ahead of time, Jackie knew that in order to to take advantage of all the locations Mallard had to offer, timing was everything. So we left plenty of time for their first look in the chapel, photos on the dock, bridal party photos on the balcony and finally some night shots later on in the evening. We love when our clients are adventurous enough to let us have fun and be creative for those shots and trust our vision!
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to share this experience with and we wish them so many wonderful years of wedded bliss together!! Congratulations Jackie + Matt and don’t forget to call us if babies are in your future!
