When we first met with Jayne and Dave a couple months ago, they told us the story about how they got engaged at Cape May Winery & Vineyard. So when they mentioned that they wanted to do a Jersey Shore engagement session and incorporate the winery into the photos, we loved the idea!! Part of telling each couple’s story is learning more about where it all began, so being able to feature that part of their history into the photographs is just a bonus! Not to mention, who doesn’t love shooting in a vineyard?! Cape May Winery had so many beautiful locations to shoot, so we started off in their “grand ballroom” of sorts (aka the tasting room) which was drenched in sunlight and lined floor to ceiling with old oak barrels. Then we headed outside to the patio which also happens to be the place where Dave nervously got down on one knee and proposed to Jayne. He told the story of how he waited until the time was just right and when everyone else went inside, he told the bartender not to let anyone out there because he wanted to propose. How sweet!! Once outside, we were able to walk around the grounds and through the vines with some really beautiful early evening sun peeking through.
Finally, we took a short drive over to sunset beach (appropriately named for it’s beautiful sunsets) where we were able to capture some intimate shots of the two of them on the rocks and walking along the beach. And although you’d never be able to tell from the photographs, there were a ton of people there waiting to watch the sun set! Dave and Jayne were an absolute pleasure to shoot and we can’t wait for their wedding this coming March! Thanks for taking us along on this journey with you!
