Jessica and Joe’s Lyndhurst Castle wedding almost didn’t happen! Ok that might be a bit of an exaggeration but it’s true. Between the Covid-19 pandemic causing delays and rain on their wedding day, we didn’t know if they’d get to have their dream ceremony outside. All morning it seemed like the weather would hold out since it was just really overcast. However, as we were taking photos of the wedding party separately beforehand, the radar was telling us that rain was imminent. Still, we all kept holding out hope thinking it would pass over quickly since the radar seemed to be spotty. So they decided to move forward with their outdoor ceremony! Once the processional music started though, the rain slowly started to fall and then steadily got a bit heavier as the ceremony went on. So midway through, they decided to speed things along and try not to get everyone soaked! As their guests huddled together under umbrellas, they laughed through their vows and shook off the rain. We missed the downpour by minutes!!
Thankfully, the weather decided to let up a bit and we were able to capture all of their photos afterwards. We were relieved to get everything we needed before Jess and Joe were whisked off to their cocktail hour. Not only were Jess and Joe so easy going throughout the entire day but everything turned out so perfect! It’s days like this when we remember why we do what we do. It’s not about us or the photos, it’s about our couples enjoying their day. Regardless of the circumstances and weather! Check out their Dream Catcher highlight below (no audio).
