Lauren and Daniel had the most perfect summer wedding at Hempstead House on the water in Sands Point, New York. Hempstead House is early 20th century opulence. It is one of four mansions on the property of the Guggenheim Estate. Built as a vacation home for entertaining, the 50,000 square foot mansion was quite literally made for hosting events and weddings. It has also been the home of many great film sets and it’s easy to see why. With the sprawling grounds and gardens, there is no shortage of picturesque views. It’s also a photographer’s dream with so many nooks and crannies to shoot in!
We started Lauren and Daniel’s wedding day with some getting ready photos and video on-site. We love when everything takes place on site because it allows our couples to relax and enjoy their day. We spent some time with the two of them for an intimate first look and couples portraits on the grounds. Then their untraditional wedding party joined us, which was just a mix of close friends who dressed in varying colors. We loved their laid back approach to every part of the day. They opted for a smaller intimate ceremony before the big day, so it was all about celebrating with family and friends! It turned out to be such a lovely day with an amazing couple. And we couldn’t have been more honored to be a part of it!
