Keith and Marie are the kind of couple that remind us why we love photographing weddings so much. They had a beautiful Ashford Estate Wedding last fall and we are still reminiscing about their intimate and heartfelt affair. When Keith and Marie’s planner, Jeanine from Fifty Shades of Planning contacted us, we knew right away that it was going to be a special event. It was their biggest concern that the event would be a celebration of their love and the joining of their families, and it was up to Jeanine to handle the rest. And it was up to us to capture as much as possible, while honoring their desire to have a fun, carefree event! You might think as photographers, it would be difficult to photograph a wedding where the couple didn’t want the focus to be on them, but it’s quite the opposite actually. With an event as sophisticated as an Ashford Estate wedding and a laid back couple, it was so easy for us to blend into the background and photograph the moments that felt important and the details we knew would help them remember their big day. And the details were AH-MAZING! Jeanine and her team did a fabulous job making sure that every “t” was crossed and every “i” was dotted, and the results were jaw-dropping. We had so much fun capturing it all, from the welcome champagne tower and popcorn station to the lemon tree place-card table!
Keith and Marie had such a lovely and sincere ceremony held in the beautifully refinished Chapel Barn. In fact, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Keith tried to hold it together when his bride came down the aisle. That coupled with the genuinely sweet vows that they read to each other, we loved capturing every moment of the ceremony. Afterwards, everyone was invited into the main Estate for cocktails and the reception in the Grand Ballroom, with windows overlooking the beautiful grounds and private lake. It’s everything you could dream up for an upscale country Estate wedding. Keith and Marie are also very involved in the Arts and funding for a local dance troupe, so their guests were treated with two stunning performances by their students/faculty.
