As Philadelphia engagement photographers, we know all of the perfect locations for any portrait session in this charming little city. You can call us expert location scouters! Oftentimes we’ll find a great spots just from driving around the city so much or we’ll go out in search of places to keep in mind for future shoots. However, we also want our clients’ input in regards to what locations have meaning to them or they would like to be photographed in and one great resource for them to look back through is our Engagement archives. There you can see various locations we’ve visited before and ones we like to shoot in often (whether it’s because we know that they are less populated or are just very picturesque locations to photograph couples in).
Rebecca and Lyall knew they wanted to incorporate Old City Philadelphia into their engagement session because there are so many patriotic places to shoot, which is only fitting for their Red, White & Blue themed wedding. You see, Rebecca and Lyall have a unique International Love Story because Lyall is originally from the U.K. (Scotland to be exact!) and Rebecca is from the U.S. So it was very important for them to incorporate their countries’ into both the engagement session and wedding day. We just love this idea!! So we were even more thrilled to be able to shoot in some of our country’s oldest and most iconic locations, including Elfreth’s Alley, which is one of the Nation’s oldest residential streets (proudly displaying both the American and British flags – how appropriate for their session!).
We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these two a bit more and hearing all about their unique love story – and we can’t wait for their big day coming up in July at the Hyatt at the Bellevue! Stay tuned for more Red, White & Blue from these two!!
