The last few weeks of fall always seem to fly by but it’s also our favorite time to shoot because the weather is crisp (but not too cold!), the leaves are changing, sunsets are gorgeous and of course for us girls, it’s boot season! YAY! For this Philadelphia Engagement Session, Sandra and Andrew came prepared for the changing weather and wanted to take advantage of the fall foliage. They even traveled up from D.C. where they live, to have their photographs taken in Andrew’s old stomping grounds – the city of Brotherly Love!!
There are so many iconic spots in Philly, but in our opinion none are as breathtaking as our favorite spots in and around the Art Museum/Fairmount area. With the city glowing in the background and the Art Museum and Boathouse Row being backlit by the sunset, the shooting opportunities are endless! We especially love that Sandra came prepared with some ideas and an adorable heart shaped umbrella prop for their shoot, which worked perfectly with the fall colors and sunset (conveniently enough, it also matched the same pop of red as the iconic LOVE sign at Love Park). Also since Sandra is a sign language interpreter, it was important for her to incorporate the symbol for “I Love You”, which she signs to Andrew in one of the images. So sweet!! As wedding photographers, we really enjoy spending this time with with our couples before their wedding. It give us a chance to learn more about who they are and the little things that make them and their love story unique. We are looking forward to seeing these two tie the knot this coming April!!
