Brittany and Shane had a spectacular Bryn Athyn wedding at the Cairnwood Estate. Known for it’s rich history of lavish events that took place there at the turn of the 20th Century, it is now one of the most romantic wedding venues to be found in Pennsylvania. Brittany and Shane chose Cairnwood because they were drawn to the elegance and grandeur of the old estate! Brittany’s bridal look was reminiscent of old Hollywood glam and was the perfect compliment to the vintage feel of the interior. We started the day with some getting ready photographs at the Estate and then moved on to their ceremony location, which was the Immaculate Conception church in Jenkintown, a favorite amongst our Cairnwood couples! Everything went seamlessly as Brittany and Shane exchanged vows and then headed back to the Estate for their portrait session. The big surprise of the day was the vintage Rolls Royce that whisked the newlyweds back to their Bryn Athyn wedding reception! It was no coincidence however that this vintage car was almost an exact match to the one that Brittany’s parents rode in on the day of their own wedding, all those years ago. Talk about a wonderful tip to nostalgia!
We have to of course mention the talented team of professionals we had the honor of working with on Brittany and Shane’s big day! Beke Beau was the masterful Makeup Queen, while Apotheca worked their magic on the girls’ hair. The uber talented teams behind Precious Petals and Karen Spire Catering put together the florals/decorations and foo/organization of the event! And Scratch Weddings kept everyone entertained all night long. We are so excited to share some of our favorite images from their big day!
