Julianna and Jay’s Water Works wedding was everything you’d hope and dream of for a September wedding. Water Works is a Cescaphe Event Group wedding venue, which means that no detail is left unchecked. All Cescaphe events are run smoothly and efficiently (one of the reasons we love shooting there). Julianna and Jay opted for a first look after getting ready at home. We knew it would take a bit of coordination since they wanted to meet up in front of City Hall in Philadelphia. So all the girls piled into one bus and all the guys on another. Jay was put into place so that Julianna would sneak up from behind and his reaction is PRICELESS. Truly, it doesn’t get better than a sobbing groom. And the entire day went just as flawlessly. We did some photos in and around City Hall and Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Then we headed on to Fairmount Park to finish off photos in front of the Philadelphia Musuem of Art. The ceremony took place outdoors in the pavilion of the Water Works property and then guests were ushered onto the terrace for cocktails hour. One of the things that is so perfect about a Water Works wedding is that guests get to watch the sunset over the Schuylkill river. The tent was decked out for the reception and we did a few couples portraits before guests were led inside. The rest of the night went off without a hitch and Julianna and Jay had an absolute blast. We love the photos of everyone getting down on the dance floor with the band!! Always some of our favorite images from the reception :)
