When we first spoke with Julie over the phone we knew immediately that she was the perfect Femina bride. And when she mentioned doing 30th Street Station Philadelphia engagement photos, we knew we were smitten! She expressed not wanting to do the typical engagement photos and really trusted us to just be creative and think outside of the box. Of course she came with her own ideas too, which ended up being a fun collaboration! We encourage all of our clients to share their vision and ideas with us because we want their photographs to be a reflection of who they are and how they want to be portrayed in their session or their wedding. Of course many people come to us simply because they love our style and trust us to do a wonderful job but the fun part is also getting to know our couples and find out how to incorporate their personalities into the shoot.
So back to Julie + Justin! We started inside 30th Street Station, which just so happens to be a beautiful place to shoot and is bustling with energy. Then we headed over to the Cira Centre building where we captured some of our favorite images from their session! The lines and architecture were so fun to play around with. Julie also had her heart set on doing some photos in the brand new Cira Green Park, located on the roof of one of the Cira Centre buildings in University City, Philadelphia. However, we did their session back in April and it just so happened that on this particular day it was very cold and windy up there! They were great sports though and while we couldn’t really get much up there, we were able to get some lovely images walking back in some of the side streets of that area. Again, some of our favorite images from their session ended up being the casual, impromptu ones! Just goes to show that if you have an open mind, anything is possible! We can’t wait for their big day at Tendenza in Philly this coming November.
