We are so excited to finally share Melissa and Dov’s wedding on our blog! You may remember them from their Central Park Engagement Session that we shot last Fall. We’ve said before that we really love engagement sessions because it gives us the opportunity to get to know our couples a little better and then feel like we’re already friends with them by the time the wedding comes around! Well, here is a little sneak peek of their big day, which took place at The Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, New Jersey.
We started off the day getting ready at the venue where we did their First Look and then took them to a local park nearby for some B+G portraits. We could tell during the getting ready that Melissa and Dov were anxious for the big reveal but once it was done, the nerves just seemed to melt away and they really had a chance to relax and enjoy that intimate moment with just the two of them! They were absolutely amazing together during the B+G portrait session (we should have known since they were awesome during their engagement session) and it was hard enough just choosing these few to show because we loved them all!! We then went back to the hotel to start the traditional Tisch and Badeken ceremonies. Not all Jewish weddings include these events, but it’s a tradition that we love because it’s such a scared and emotional part of the day. As you can see from the photographs, Melissa was overcome with emotion as she was surrounded by all of her closest friends and family and Dov was escorted over to her. We are so honored that we got to capture that moment for them and it continued into an emotional ceremony as they later exchanged vows underneath a beautiful Chuppah. Then of course we went into the celebration with a party that did not stop all night long!!
We want to wish Melissa and Dov all the best as they start their new life as husband and wife and we want to thank them for the opportunity to be a part of their special day. Thank you so much and congratulations!!
