A New York Botanical Gardens wedding never seems to disappoint. No matter the time of year, every opportunity we have to document the union of a bride and groom, we get absolutely giddy. And it’s easy to see why! We had the honor of meeting Michelle and Eliot in the beginning of this year via FaceTime. They were currently residing in Boston, with plans to move to the Big Apple and get married. On our end, meeting Michelle and Eliot was a breath of fresh air: they were calm, cool and collected when it came to wedding planning. And when they decided to also work with Femina on their custom wedding invitations, we were over the moon. From photographing them during their engagement session, to working side-by-side with them on their beautiful custom wedding invitations, we couldn’t be more excited for their big day!
Their New York Botanical Gardens wedding was picture-perfect from beginning to end. And much of this was thanks to Elissa Held, their fabulous wedding planner. With simply her mother and dear sister, Michelle got ready in the venue’s bridal suite, while Eliot helped his brother and father with perfecting their bow ties. (And a little YouTube video never hurt anyone!) One of our favorite moments was when Eliot first saw his beautiful bride. His expression was priceless, and photographing them together was so incredible. And what made everything even more incredible was the perfectly-positioned sunlight behind the New York Botanical Gardens atrium and rotunda. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day – or a more spectacular couple! Big congratulations to Michelle and Eliot as they are returning from their honeymoon in Africa!
